Darren Anholt, P.Eng. has been appointed as Group Manager of Water/Wastewater Engineering in Saskatchewan. Darren brings a wealth of experience in a broad spectrum of civil engineering, including municipal, agricultural, and environmental engineering, and project management.

Doug Falkins of our Burnaby, B.C. office has received certification as a Limited Licensee (Engineering) from the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of B.C. A Senior Electrical Technician, Doug has over 30 years of experience specializing in the design and construction of power, distribution, and lighting systems for aerodrome lighting and navigation systems, roadway lighting systems, and traffic signals. Congratulations, Doug!

Jason Horner, P.Eng. has been appointed as Group Manager of Transportation Engineering in Saskatchewan. Jason has diverse experience in both consulting engineering and the public sector. Jason’s team of senior engineers and technologists are taking a leading role in many transportation projects in Saskatchewan and B.C.

Alex Leong, M.Sc., P.Eng., has joined our Toronto office as Manager of the Water Group. Alex has 25 years of diverse consulting engineering experience in the municipal water and wastewater sectors. Alex’s experience includes project management studies, preliminary design, detailed design, construction supervision and commissioning of water and wastewater treatment facilities in Canada and overseas. Alex’s experience also encompasses troubleshooting plant process upset and energy audits.

David Pickles, C.Eng., has joined our Burnaby office as a Senior Bridge Engineer. David has 30 years experience in project management, design, and construction management of new bridges and bridge rehabilitation. His experience encompasses highway and freeway bridges and bridges crossing rivers and major shipping channels. David has a successful track record on traditional design-bid-build projects as well as design-build projects. He has participated in the design of landmark bridges around the world, such as the Thames Gateway Bridge in London, Ting Kau Cable Stayed Bridge in Hong Kong, and the Oresund Link between Denmark and Sweden.

George De Ridder, M.S., Pr.Eng. (SA), C.Eng. has joined our Burnaby office as a Senior Structural Engineer. George has more than 30 years experience in consulting engineering in South Africa. His experience includes design and project management of foundations, water retaining structures, wastewater treatment plants, dams, industrial facilities, and commercial, institutional and residential buildings. An recognized specialist in blast resistance, George specializes in the design of hardened and explosion blast resistant structures for industrial and security, military, and nuclear facilities as well as electrical substations subject to electric fault.
