Ed Salenieks, M.A.Sc., P.Eng. has joined our Toronto office as Manager of the Wastewater Group. Ed has 25 years of diverse consulting engineering experience in the wastewater and water sectors. As Manager of the Wastewater Group, Ed is responsible for wastewater engineering services, including planning, evaluation, design, contract administration, construction services, and commissioning of pumping and treatment facilities for public and private sector clients.

David Daikh, P.E., P.Eng. has joined our St. Catharines office as a Civil Engineer. Dave has several years experience in the design of civil infrastructure water supply and treatment and sewage collection projects. He also has considerable experience in construction administration and resident engineering on a variety of projects ranging from watermain and sewer projects to large pump stations.

Sam De Rose, P.Eng. has joined our St. Catharines office. Sam has 15 years experience as a Construction Manager and 10 years experience as a Site Inspector/Resident Engineer. His construction experience includes civil contracting, estimating, managing, and supervising bridge construction, road reconstruction, sanitary sewer servicing, and water and wastewater facilities. He also has experience in preparing contract documents, tendering, and contract administration.

Marvin Loewen, A.Sc.T. has been appointed as Manager of our Infrastructure Group in Saskatoon. Marvin leads a multi-discipline group of engineers, technologists, and administrative personnel in the delivery of a wide array of infrastructure projects in northern Saskatchewan. He has 15 years of experience in water and environmental engineering, including infrastructure projects for First Nations and urban communities in Saskatchewan.

Tom Williams, P.Eng. has been appointed as Manager of our Infrastructure Group and Office Manager in Regina. In this role, Tom is responsible for urban land development, stormwater management, water and wastewater systems, urban roads and paving, and First Nations developments. Tom has 17 years of experience in municipal, commercial, industrial, institutional, and land development projects throughout Saskatchewan.

Suzi Valoen, M.A.Sc., P.Eng., has joined our Burnaby office as a Water Process Engineer. Suzi has six years experience specializing in water treatment. She brings unique experience to our team from her role as an Application Engineer with ONDEO Degremont, one of the major water treatment equipment suppliers in the world. Her expertise includes coagulation, flocculation, clarification, and dissolved air flotation. Suzi is a member of AWWA’s Coagulation and Filtration Committee.

Freda Leong has joined our Burnaby office as a Municipal Engineer. Freda has 11 years experience as an Trainee Engineer, System Management Officer, and Design Engineer with Sydney Water in Sydney, Australia. Her experience includes system planning and management, assessment, and design for drainage, stormwater and water distribution systems, condition assessment of water and stormwater assets, and water and stormwater modelling.
