Sandra Menzies, P.Eng. has joined our Calgary office as a Senior Transportation Planner. Sandra has16 years of experience on local and international transportation projects, including assignments across Alberta and Ontario, as well as the U.S., New Zealand, and Australia. Her expertise encompasses transportation planning, corridor studies, environmental assessments, traffic and noise analysis, roadways and highways design, HOV projects, cycling facilities, bus routes, and signal programming and analysis.

David Greig has also joined our transportation group in Calgary. A Senior Transportation Technician, David has 19 years experience in the design of freeways, highways, interchanges, urban arterial roadways, transit, light rail transit, and cycling facilities. Augmenting his transportation experience, David’s expertise also includes design of storm sewers, municipal drains, and stormwater retention ponds.

Subbu Gopalakrishnan, M.A.Sc., P.Eng. has joined our Edmonton office as a Senior Transportation Engineer. Subbu has 15 years of experience in transportation planning, functional design, road safety audits, and detailed design assignments in Canada and India. His experience includes the 105 Avenue Corridor Study in Edmonton, Nisku Spine Road Functional Planning Study for Leduc County, Northeast LRT and Multi-Use Trail Safety Review in Edmonton, and Functional Planning/Design for the Trans Canada Highway in Calgary.

Richard Harper, M.Eng., P.Eng. has joined our Burnaby office as a Senior Municipal Engineer and Project Manager. Richard has more than 13 years experience in consulting engineering specializing in design and construction of pipelines and pumping systems. A specialist in trenchless technologies, Richard has led the design of major water and sewer systems using microtunnelling, tunneling and directional drilling techniques. He is an active member and past Director of the North American Society for Trenchless Technology.

Karen Tully, P.Eng. has joined our Burnaby office as a Senior Water Process Engineer and Project Manager. Karen has 18 years experience in both the public and private sector. Her experience includes design and construction of municipal and industrial water treatment plants in B.C. and Ontario. Karen specializes in ultraviolet light treatment systems, membrane treatment, chlorine disinfection, and residuals treatment. Karen complements her design experience with her experience in operations and troubleshooting as a Process Engineer with Weldwood of Canada’s pulp mill in Hinton, Alberta.

David Harvey, M.Sc., P.Eng., Struct.Eng., FIStructE has been elected as President of the Institution of Structural Engineers (IstructE) in the UK for the 2006-2007 term. David is a Senior Structural Engineer in our Burnaby office. He has 37 years of experience specializing in bridge design and construction. David has participated in many award-winning projects, most recently the Sea to Sky Highway Test Section near West Vancouver, which received the Canadian Consulting Engineer’s Award of Excellence in November 2005.

Edwin C. Klassen, P.Eng. has joined our Saskatoon office in the Infrastructure Group as Senior Engineer/Project Manager. An electrical engineer, Edwin has 25 years of consulting experience in electrical distribution and building services, controls and instrumentation systems design, PLC/HMI programming and SCADA systems implementation. He has participated in the design, programming, and commissioning of numerous water and wastewater projects across Saskatchewan.
