Team AE ranks 7th in Edmonton Corporate Challenge

Race Walk Team: Heather Halter, Michael Moody,
Brad Elliot and Michael Paulsen.

Our Edmonton office Corporate Challenge Team had their best showing yet at the 15th Annual Edmonton Corporate Challenge Games. The games included 26 sporting and non-sporting events, including badminton, basketball, darts, trivia competition, lawn bowling, mountain biking, power pull, road race, scavenger hunt, swimming, table tennis, volleyball, and the “Unknown Challenge” event. Teams also received points for blood donor participation and spirit.

Team AE excelled at the race walk, the Unknown Challenge, and, of course, spirit! AE's Race Walk Team won gold in their division. Congratulations to captain Heather Halter, and team members Michael Moody, Brad Elliott, and Michael Paulsen. Team AE placed second for our mascot, AE-Man (a.k.a. Mike Moody) — who says there are no super-heroes in the world! AE also placed third for our T-shirt design. Well done, Art VanderMeer, who came up with our winning design.

The Unknown Challenge Team came away with a bronze medal in their division. Consisting of Audrey Cox, David London, Susana Maki, Mike Moody, and Mark Willson, our “Caped Crusaders” competed in such events as table tennis (using a bowling pin, a spatula, a swimming flipper, paint brush, and badminton racquet instead of paddles!), Nintendo Super Mario Brothers challenge, a Lego contest, and other adventurous events.
