 Ken Turnbull, C.Tech, has joined our Saskatoon office as a Senior
Operations Manager with ATAP Infrastructure Management Ltd., an affiliate
of the Associated Engineering group of companies. Ken has over 23 years
of experience in municipal operations. Over the past 17 years Ken has
been involved with contract administration, operations, maintenance, and
construction projects involving water treatment plants, wastewater pumping
stations, water wells and pipeline development, groundwater studies, sub-
division developments, and pavement rehab. Ken has developed tools to
assist operators with record keeping, along with maintenance schedules for sewer and water
main flushing.
 Congratulations to Carma Holmes, P.Eng. who recently received
certification as a LEEDTMAccredited Professional. Based in our Regina
office, Carma is a Structural Engineer with ten years experience specializing in structural engineering. Carma has a wide variety of experience,
including industrial, municipal, commercial, residential and institutional
buildings as well as provincial, municipal, and resource bridges. She has
participated in the design of structures in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Alberta
and British Columbia.
 Congratulations to Andrew Stevenson, Operation & Maintenance
Technician with ATAP Infrastructure Management Ltd. Andrew received
the Harry S. Swearingen Award, which recognizes outstanding service
of a member of the American Public Works Association. Andrew has
served two terms as the Small Town Director, Workshop Coordinator,
and is currently the Treasurer for the Saskatchewan Public Works
Association. The award was established in 1958 to perpetuate the
memory of Harry Seller Swearingen, who worked untiringly on behalf of
the American Public Works Association. In photo left, Chapter

 Ken Galt celebrates 35 years with Associated Engineering
Congratulations to Ken Galt who recently celebrated his 35 year
anniversary with Associated Engineering! In honour of his long service
with the company, colleagues in the Regina office held a surprise party
for Ken on June 3. Ken joined the company in 1973 as an inspector
and surveyor. Over the years, Ken has participated in the design and
construction of land development projects, water supply and wastewater collection systems, water and wastewater treatment plants,
stormwater management systems, and roads throughout
Saskatchewan. Currently, Ken is Senior Project Technologist. Ken
plays a key role on the design and construction of projects, as well as mentoring junior staff.

 Burnaby staff complete Vancouver’s half-marathon
Congratulations to Associated Engineering’s
Jenn Voss, Sang Chung, Craig Hatt, and
Peter De Groot of our Burnaby office who
completed this year’s Vancouver half-marathon. The half-marathon is one of
Vancouver’s premier running events, attracting more than 4500 runners and walkers of
all levels, including many elite athletes. In
its nine year history, the event has raised
more than $746,000 for health-care related
charities.
