 Sayed Soleimani, Ph.D., P.E., P.Eng., from our Burnaby operation recently
passed the State of California’s seismic and surveying exams and is now
registered as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in California. Sayed has more
than ten years experience in bridge and structural engineering in Canada
and Iran. Recently he participated in the design of the Pitt River Cable-Stayed Bridge in the BC Lower Mainland.
 Pansy Lau, B.A.Sc., has joined our Burnaby office as a Water Resource
Engineer. Pansy has over 13 years of water resource engineering experience, specializing in hydraulic and hydrological modelling of surface and
sanitary systems including separate and combined sewer improvement
schemes and catchment-wide master development plans. She brings
experience from both the UK and Hong Kong.
 Siu Fung Ma, B.Eng., C.Eng., M.I.C.E., has joined our Burnaby office as
a Civil Engineer. Siu Fung has 13 years experience in wastewater and
stormwater management. Siu Fung’s experience includes feasibility studies,
hydraulic analysis, detailed design, project management, and contract
administration. He brings experience from both the UK and Hong Kong.
 Joanne Verstegen, has re-joined our Toronto office as a Group
Administrator. Joanne has over 21 years experience in the consulting
engineering industry as a Civil Technologist, 14 years of which were with
Associated Engineering. After a 5 year hiatus from the company, Joanne is
very happy to return to Associated Engineering. She will provide administrative and technical support through her role as Group Administrator.
 Guy Kieper, M.Sc., P.Eng., has joined our Calgary office as a Project
Engineer. With over 15 years experience in conceptual planning, design, construction, operation and management of water and wastewater treatment
facilities within both the municipal and industrial sectors, Guy has a sound
understanding of the issues that impact project execution, as well as facility
and organizational performance.
 Darwin Elliot, B.Sc., CST, has joined our Calgary office as a GIS/Asset
Management / Technologist providing technical expertise on various
engineering and asset management projects. With ten years experience,
Darwin has a diverse background and technical expertise in AutoDESK
geospatial software and geographic information systems combined with
database knowledge and CADD expertise.
 Laszlo Dunaszegi, FCSCE, P.Eng., has joined our Calgary office as a
Senior Structural Engineer specializing in bridge engineering. Laszlo brings
extensive experience in the design and project management of roadway and
pedestrian bridges. He has been involved in structures using both cast-in-place and precast concrete, as well as steel. In addition to his bridge experience, Laszlo has designed and managed several unique projects involving
light rail, sports, industrial, and institutional facilities.
