Regina office “canstructs” sushi sculpture for charity and wins two awards in the process

Associated Engineering's Regina office competed with eight architectural and engineering firms in Canstruction, the most unique food charity in the world. Contestants competed to design and build giant structures made entirely of full cans of food. After the competition, all cans were donated to the Regina & District Food Bank for distribution to those less fortunate in our community.

The AE Regina team's sculpture, entitled “Sushi Combo #6”, used over 2400 cans of food. The judges awarded the team with the Best Meal Award because the sculpture was constructed with cans of food that are considered the top 10 most wanted food items at the Food Bank. The team also received an Honorable Mention Award.
