
Heritage BC presented their Annual Awards honouring the outstanding and significant achievements in heritage conservation by individuals, organizations, groups, businesses and government across the province. Awards recognizing sustainable conservation of British Columbia’s unique cultural heritage were presented in four categories: Heritage Conservation; Heritage Education and Awareness; Heritage Planning and Management; Distinguished Service Award.
This year, the Burrard Street Bridge Rehabilitation and Retrofit project received the Heritage Award for Outstanding Achievement in Heritage Conservation. Congratulations to the key members of the project team including Shane Cook, Division Manager, Transportation, Associated Engineering; Donald Luxton, Principal, Donald Luxton & Associates; James Emery, Principal, Iredale Architecture; Dane Doleman, Structures Engineer, City of Vancouver; David Currie, Senior Project Manager, City of Vancouver; and Greg Cowie, Project Manager, Graham Construction.
