Dear Clients, Partners, and Friends:
As the COVID-19 outbreak continues, I want to provide you with an update on what Associated Engineering is doing to respond to this rapidly-evolving global pandemic. The health and safety of our staff, clients, partners, and their families remains our top priority.
Currently, all of our offices remain in operation, with additional measures being taken to provide a safe environment for our employees who need to work at our offices. We are supporting physical distancing, encouraging frequent hand washing, and implementing additional cleaning measures in our offices.
Many of our employees are now working remotely to respect the need for physical distancing, while continuing to deliver on your project requirements. We understand our role as an essential service to clients to support and help maintain operations for critical infrastructure, such as drinking water systems, and to complete ongoing design and construction projects. While our staff are working remotely, they continue to collaborate and hold project meetings virtually to complete our clients’ projects.
For construction projects, our staff are working with contractors and the stringent protocols that have been established at each site to address the COVID-19 risks. These protocols allow our construction staff to continue conducting inspections and providing contract administration services so that active construction projects can advance.
For both design and construction projects, our project managers are working with our clients to provide advice and, if necessary, to develop contingency plans in anticipation of potential impacts to projects if the pandemic escalates further.
For more information on our pandemic response, visit our dedicated website at or feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions or if we can help.
In closing, I want to thank our staff for their continued dedication to deliver on our project commitments. I also want to applaud all the health care and front-line workers, as well as those maintaining other essential services, for everything they are doing to save lives and sustain our communities during these uncertain and stressful times.
Finally, I want to acknowledge those who have supported people in your communities - buying groceries for neighbours or the elderly or simply reaching out to support each other. It is through our collective compassion and commitment that I know we will get through this pandemic together and be stronger for our efforts. Stay safe and keep healthy.
Best regards,
Martin Jobke, P.Eng.
President & CEO
