Celebrating International Women in Engineering Day

INWED 2020

International Women in Engineering Day (INWED) is an international awareness campaign to raise the profile of women in engineering. INWED focuses attention on the amazing career opportunities available in engineering and celebrates the outstanding achievements of women engineers around the world. This year's theme is "Shape the World".

In Canada, about 12%-13% of Professional Engineers are women. 18% of newly licensed engineers are women; Engineers Canada is targeting 30% newly licensed female engineers by 2030. 19% of undergrad engineering students are women (2012-2017). At Associated Engineering, 24% of our engineers are women.

We asked female engineering staff from across the company to share a message with us about their work, their communities, how they are working to advance gender equality in the engineering profession, or how they are finding powerful ways to drive positive change for women in engineering.

Thank you very much to all of our colleagues who have shared their inspirational messages with us today!
