Burrard Bridge Rehabilitation and Restoration Project wins National Trust for Canada Cornerstone Award

Burrard Bridge

Congratulations to the key members of the project team (Iredale Architecture, Donald Luxton & Associates, the City of Vancouver, and Graham Infrastructure) on the Burrard Bridge Rehabilitation and Restoration Project in Vancouver, BC on receiving a 2020 Cornerstone Award as a Transformative Project from the National Trust for Canada! The jury noted this was "an inspiring project that conserved an important historic element of Vancouver's transportation infrastructure."

These prestigious awards honour building heritage and recognizes "exemplary projects and places that contribute to quality of life, and illustrate the viability of heritage buildings and sites for traditional and new uses". In total, eleven outstanding projects were selected by an independent jury from among a strong list of candidates.

Last year, the Burrard Bridge Rehabilitation and Restoration Project also received a City of Vancouver Heritage Award of Honour and a Heritage BC Award for Outstanding Achievement in Heritage Conservation

Congratulations to our staff led by project manager Shane Cook, our project partners, and to all of this year's selected winners!
