We're pleased to be a supporting corporate sponsor of this year's Transportation Association of Canada Conference & Exhibition.
Hosted virtually, the two-week (September 20th to October 1st) long event is Canada's largest national gathering of transportation professionals and will feature over 50 online technical presentations, discussions, and workshops, along with a virtual tradeshow.
Associated Engineering will be represented by many of our transportation practice leaders and experts in attendance, who look forward to engaging with other attendees from across the country. Our Intelligent Transportation Specialist, Keenan Kitasaka, will be part of the technical program, as a co-presenter in the "Road Safety Impacts of ITS and CAVs" session on September 27th from 3pm ET.
Keenan will share his experience with the Wildlife Detection System that is being implemented as part of Highway 16 in Saskatchewan. Wildlife Detection Systems help reduce Wildlife Vehicle Collisions by detecting wildlife and notifying motorists of the presence of animals in the area, so they can adjust their driving behavior. The presentation will provide an overview of design considerations and technology used to successfully implement a Wildlife Detection System in remote locations.
We also welcome attendees to visit our staff in our virtual tradeshow booth, including the dedicated exhibition day on September 22nd from 11am to 5pm ET.
