how you'll contribute to our company

Working in Yellowknife, your responsibilities include the following:

  • Identifying business opportunities in consultation with Division and Group Managers
  • Organizing and executing business development initiatives
  • Assisting by providing relevant information for the development of a yearly business plan for the BC Operation
  • Coordinating proposal go/no-go decisions and proposal development for local projects in conjunction with Project Managers, Division Managers, and the General Manager
  • Reviewing proposal prospects to ensure risks are minimized and projects are within the company’s capabilities and in accordance with company objectives
  • Performing project management and carrying out project work
  • Working closely with the Division Manager with respect to office supplies, equipment, IT, and lease-related issues
  • Fulfilling all company commitments related to the requirements of assigned projects
  • Ensuring clear and timely communication with clients to meet client expectations
  • Executing administrative functions required for the management of construction projects
  • Providing all necessary information to field staff for the proper execution of their work

what you will bring to the table

You should have the following qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in civil engineering, project management, and execution of regional infrastructure projects
  • Strong project management skills and a general technical understanding
  • Solid business acumen, soft skills, and ability to grow our business
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Committed team player
  • Willingness to travel within the region to fulfill work requirements
