We are currently searching for an Administrative Assistant to join our Edmonton office. This is a part-time (24 hours per week) permanent position, with the potential to increase to full-time as the role develops.

This position will involve a range of administrative and office support activities to facilitate the efficient operation of our Environmental Group. You are an excellent communicator with effective organizational skills, and an exceptional work ethic. Your abilities will be strengthened through the variety of activities and projects with which you will be involved. This position will also provide you with autonomy as you will be required to complete tasks with minimal supervision. 

how you'll contribute to our company

Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Preparing reports, contract documents, letters, and presentation slides in accordance with our professional standards
  • Providing administrative assistance when directed by team members
  • Coordinating the logistics of project reporting (e.g., word processing, printing, document assembly, binding, courier)
  • Assisting with proposal preparation and other business development activities
  • Partaking in project filing/archiving

what you will bring to the table

You should have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, Diploma, or Certificate in Office Administration, or in a relevant field is an asset
  • Minimum of 5 years of administrative experience in a professional office environment
  • Advanced capabilities in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and other office software
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Highly detail-oriented, and with accuracy
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Experience using graphic design software (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator) is an asset
  • Prior experience in the consulting engineering industry is an asset
  • Experience in marketing/business development activities is an asset
