We are currently searching for an Intermediate contaminated site professional for our operations in Saskatchewan, working from either in the Regina or Saskatoon offices. You have a minimum of 8 years of consulting experience with a proven work winning track record and are seeking to develop your career with a dynamic team on a variety of assignments.
You combine a knowledge of contaminated site monitoring and remediation, including phase I, II and III assessments, environmental site assessments for landfills, general knowledge of water resource management, and a strong understanding of the Saskatchewan Regulatory requirements including the Environmental Code.
Supported by our Contaminated Site National Practice Lead, this position will be responsible for developing the practice within the province. Reporting to the Saskatchewan Regional Manager, you will be a motivated individual who thrives in working in a team environment on a variety of interesting and challenging projects with other professionals and be able to assess markets for business opportunities.

how you'll contribute to our company

Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Leading business development within the CS discipline
  • Designing and overseeing the implementation of contaminated site assessment and remediation work covering both soils and groundwater
  • Providing project-related Regulatory advice regarding required permits, licences, approvals, notices, and consents
  • Serving as a laboratory and contractor liaison
  • Performing data analysis and interpretation
  • Engaging in project and client management
  • Preparing work plans, proposals, project reports, technical memos, and letters
  • Performing screening level risk assessments

what you will bring to the table

You should have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelors' degree in relevant pure or applied science; M.Sc. degree is preferred
  • Minimum 8 years of post-graduation experience in environmental consulting specific to managing contaminated sites (must include CSA Phase I to III, and the Saskatchewan Environmental Code)
  • Minimum 3 years of project management experience
  • Minimum 3 years of remediation design experience
  • Demonstrable track record in work winning within the CS discipline
  • Demonstrable understanding of relevant provincial and federal legislation, regulation and permitting processes; includes knowledge of fisheries procedures, environmental assessment, water regulations, and hazardous substances
  • Professional registration or currently meet the application requirements (P.Geo., P.Ag., P.Biol. P.Chem. or similar)
  • Demonstrable experience in the assessment of soil and groundwater contaminant interactions, including the preparation of Conceptual Site Models
  • An understanding of contaminant hydrogeology and monitoring well design & sampling
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient at software for word processing, data management, and presentations
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines within a team environment
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
