Assocated provided project management services to the Government of Northwest Territories to completed this $xx million, design-build proejct. Our environmental services specific to federal and territorial approvals and authorizations included review of annual monitoring reports and Environmental Construction Operations Plan, liaison with regulators, development of spill response and deck drainage plans, fish compensation, wildlife management plans, and habitat compensation plans.
Teck Resources Limited is planning a new mine near it's Coal Mountain facilities, referred to as CMO 2. Associated Environmental is leading key elements of the vegetation, soil, and biodiversity assessments required for Mines Act permits.
Associated Environmental is leading the environmental program for the Regina Bypass, the largest capital project in the Government of Saskatchewan's history. Components include the Environmental Protection Plan and the environmental portion of the Integrated Management System .
The Government of Alberta recognized that the capacity for natural systems to mitigate the effects of flooding had been significantly reduced in some areas of the province, following widespread flooding in 2013. The Watershed Resiliency and Restoration Program (WRRP) was created to fund projects that contribute to the restoration and protection of natural flood mitigation processes. Associated Environmental led an early technical component of WRRP, with the overall goal to identify priority watersheds for allocation of resources under the WRRP using an objective and scientifically rigorous approach.
Associated Environmental provided technical advisory services as part of a $240,000 land acquisition and development plan for Cenovus Energy. Because the lands encompass various wetlands, the potential development triggers regulatory requirements through Alberta Environment and Sustainable Resource Development.
Assessment of potential environmental effects is part of the planning process for a range of infrastructure, natural resource development, and land-use projects. Our multi-disciplinary team will work with you to support a project through its lifecycle, to manage risks of development, and lead the process to meet requirements of federal and provincial regulations.
Our services include baseline characterization, stakeholder engagement, modeling effects, mitigation planning, and development of environmental management and monitoring plans.
