Associated Environmental (AE) has been entrusted with developing software and analysis tools for many of Colville Confederated Tribes (CCT) natural resource management initiatives. AE has a role in more than 30 CCT-led projects, such as development of a fish hatchery to mitigate impacts of hydropower dams, monitoring mercury in Lake Roosevelt, managing hunting and fishing on the reservations, and long term monitoring of fish and fish habitat in the Okanogan River Basin. These diverse programs require collection and handling of a broad range of data over many years, sharing these data with other agencies and the public, and preparing complex reports.
Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) are one of the greatest advancements in computing over the past two decades. From accessing your location on your mobile device (iOS, Android or otherwise), to processing billions of spatial data points and projecting them into complex models, GIS is a huge leap forward in conveying your data in an intuitive way.
At Associated, our GIS team is acutely aware of industry standards in spatial data representation. Our team has conferred on many provincial mapping standards and continues to blaze new trails with our government and non-government clients.
Our geomatics specialists have extensive experience in geospatial analysis including the following:
