Surface Water Hydrology

Surface water hydrology and management has been at the core of AE‘s enterprise since the company began over  20 years ago. We have designed and operated hydrometric (streamflow) and climate networks, developed regional peak and low flow models, modeled and monitored physical and water quality changes in streams, restored streams, mapped floodplains, and coordinated development of high-profile basin-scale water management plans. Clients that have benefited from our expertise include mining and forestry firms, water suppliers, hydroelectric utilities, local governments, provincial and federal agencies, First Nations, and community groups. AE’s strong scientific foundation in hydrologic science has paved the way for our expanding role assisting communities and decision-makers to conserve water resources in the face of climate change and population growth.
