Aquatic Sciences

AE’s aquatic scientists are experts in surface water quality, aquatic ecology, aquatic toxicology and limnology (the study of inland waters). Our services include:

  • the collection and interpretation of water quality and sediment data,
  • remediation of disturbed aquatic ecosystems,
  • studies of how organisms  react to toxic pollutants,
  • solving problems with drinking water (taste, odours, chlorination by-products),
  • aquatic impact assessments and third party review of major project impact assessments.
  • waste discharge studies and related permitting

Clients that have benefited from our expertise include water suppliers, First Nations, hydroelectric utilities, local governments, provincial and federal agencies, mining and forestry companies, and community groups.
