Following the wildfire in Waterton National Park in the summer of 2017, Parks Canada retained Associated Engineering to completed design and construction services for six damaged/destroyed bridges.
The scope of work included the development of standard bridge superstructures drawings to support standard replacement of National Park Bridges, with span lengths of 6, 10, 12, and 14 metres.
The bridges replaced included the Snowshoe Bridge, Akamina Pass Bridge, Dipper Ski Trail Briges #1 and #2, Experts Choice Bridge, and Bertha Falls Bridge.
