Associated Environmental completed a water supply and demand review
The project included:
- A review of well logs and hydrometric data to develop detailed cross sections and the conceptual model of groundwater flow
- A water demand study with the Ministry of Agriculture to run the Okanagan water demand model
The report concluded that there is limited groundwater available in the area, and that the Regional District Okanagan Similkameen may wish to consider managing land use to limit the water use going forward. This resulted in Bylaw changes to limit density (no accessory dwellings or secondary suites), and OCP changes.
