The City of Langford retained Associated Engineering for design, tendering, inspection and contract administration of approximately 1.2 km of roadway upgrades.
Goldstream Avenue was a two-lane roadway with intermittent paved and gravel shoulders. After upgrades, Goldstream Avenue has transformed into a three-lane main arterial roadway, incorporating bike lanes, concrete curb and gutter, brick paver sidewalks and parking bays, a complete in-ground storm drainage disposal system, new traffic signals, ornamental street lighting, and extensive landscaping.
This project has been seen locally as a positive example of how to modernize and enliven a downtown core.
