Communities are continuously searching for qualified individuals to fill the roles of water and wastewater treatment plant operators, water distribution system operators, and wastewater collection system operators.
To address the critical demand for training in remote areas of Alberta, Northern Lakes College, together with Associated Engineering and ATAP Infrastructure Management Ltd., have partnered to deliver a live, online, customized, and comprehensive Water and Wastewater Operator Preparation Program.
The online program prepares operators for certification with Alberta Environment and Parks, providing an economical alternative for communities, compared to staff attending courses in major centres such as Edmonton and Banff.
