The Associated Engineering Urban Planning & Design team completed the detailed design and contract document preparation for the renewal of Main Street in downtown Rocky Mountain House.

The streetscape enhancements include new street furniture, complex terracing and retaining walls due to steep road grades, boulevard trees, customized lighting, surface treatments, intersection bulb outs, and community gathering areas. The work was based on previously completed conceptual plans, and it was a challenge to ensure that the detailed design drawings respected the integrity of the original concept plans and intended materials to be used. Often, concept plans depict materials and streetscape elements that are unrealistic to build, but our team successfully upheld the original design intent.
