Since 2012, Associated Engineering has provided ongoing Bridge Structural Engineering Services to support the Maintenance Contractor for the South Fraser Perimeter Road Concession Highway.
We provide ongoing Operation, Maintenance and Rehabilitation (OMR) support and manage the structural upkeep and safety of 34 bridges, 65 retaining walls, 13 major culverts and 28 sign bridges.
Our scope of work includes performing and managing the routine and detailed inspection of each structure along the highway; training client staff; auditing; ensuring that the structures meet the concession’s Key Performance Measure and handback criteria as set out by the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure; and developing and updating the overall structural asset management strategies and plans. We assist our client in developing work plans that minimize project risk and costs over the duration of the concession term.
In addition to the Bridge Structural Engineer services, we also provide a 24-hour on-call emergency response service to evaluate bridge structures following significant occurrences such as flooding, earthquakes or damage from vehicle impacts.
