Metro Vancouver provides water to over 2.1 million residents throughout the Lower Mainland.
As part of the Surrey-Langley Water Supply Scheme, the District is proposing to build a new Maple Ridge/Barnston Pump Station. Associated Engineering was retained to provide services for the preliminary design, detailed design, equipment procurement, tender preparation, as well as consulting services during the tender process, construction, and post-construction. Providing an eventual peak hour flow of over 400 ML/d, this pump station will be by far the largest municipal water distribution pump station in the Province. Located by the north ramp of Golden Ears Bridge, it will also have a major role in overall water supply scheme for a number of municipalities including Langley, Maple Ridge and Surrey.
The $25 Million project embraces the Sustainable Region Initiative (SRI) that supports the overall sustainability of projects and the reduction of impacts on the environment resulting from implementation of projects.
