Close Proximity Bridge Inspections – Chilliwack Forest District and Chinnok BCTS Business Area
The BC Ministry of Forests and Range retained Associated Engineering to inspect a total of 184 structures in the Chilliwack Forest District and the Chinook BCTS Business Area.
The structures varied from multi-span steel, concrete and log structures to major culverts.
The inspection involved visual and physical (non-destructive) testing of log stringer, steel, concrete bridge and culvert components for structural deficiencies.
The inspection data was entered into digital Inspection Data Forms in Microsoft Access format for download into the Coast Forest Region Bridge Register. Each report included GPS coordinates, structural deficiencies, measurements to facilitate load rating, date of next inspection and photos.
