To facilitate project delivery, design and construction of the West Calgary Ring Road was divided into two design-build packages.
Design-Build 1 from the Trans-Canada Highway to Old Banff Coach Road consisted of 20 bridge structures, two interchanges, three kilometres of highway, and three kilometres of highway reconstruction.
Design-Build 2 from Old Banff Coach Road to Highway 8 included eight bridge structures, four interchanges, seven kilometres of highway, and four kilometres of highway reconstruction.
