The 420 ML/d Island Water Treatment Plant provides direct filtration of Lake Ontario water for the City of Toronto.
Associated Engineering was retained by the City of Toronto to provide in-situ testing, design and construction services for various process and infrastructure improvements in the plant, as well as to provide engineering and construction services for the phase 1 upgrades to the Island Water Treatment Plant Residual Management Facility, and engineering and construction services for the ammonia, fluoride and dechlorination system upgrades.
