Associated Engineering (AE) was retained by the Manitoba Water Services Board and the Municipality of Russell Binscarth to design a new Regional Water Treatment Plant in the Town of Russell to provide a safe and reliable potable water supply to the region.
The Russell – Binscarth Regional Water Treatment Plant was constructed in 2017 and began providing treated water to Russell, Binscarth, Angusville, Rossburn, and Gambler First Nation in 2018/19. The plant draws water from two 300mm ground water wells, and supplies treated water to the region, including to Rossburn, which is over 45km away.
